Returning to my favorite room in town for the first time since March, 2020 (!) for an evening of “trail songs,” celebrating the American West and wide-open spaces with music from the “singing cowboy” movies of the 1930s-50s. This is a fascinating body of work, occupying a liminal space at the intersection of mid-century Hollywood, country, and jazz. Not in NYC? This show will be live streamed! Please do tune in.
With:
Justin Poindexter - guitar, vocals
Alex Hargreaves - violin
Noah Garabedian - bass
